Biography

Paul Finnegan  M.A. Cert. Ed,  FCMI, FSET, Cmgr, QTLS.

Paul is the owner of KADIA, he is an experienced trainer, leader and coach who sees his role as supporting the development of people and organisations in order to enable high performance standards.

He believes in creating a relaxed environment conducive to learning, in order to aid the achievement of personal and business goals.

Paul has significant, senior level, experience in respect of the development of people and organisations. He has worked successfully across five ranks in the police service and has held national positions in respect of police learning and development.

In recent years, having established his own company, he has undertaken challenging contracts worldwide.


Widely respected as highly motivated, innovative and culturally aware, Paul is skilled in capacity building, facilitating learning, trainer development, training design, leadership, change management, cognitive based coaching and evaluation.

Throughout his career Paul has gained extensive and wide ranging experience with strategic planning, leadership, customer service, critical incident decision making, management of major change initiatives, and significant people related issues.

After thirty years police service, during which he balanced challenging operational responsibilities with significant involvement in learning and development, Paul established his own company, KADIA Learning Services in 2006. Since that time he has worked nationally and internationally providing a range of developmental services.  He regularly receives further work from clients.

Paul holds a Master of Arts (Education) along with a variety of pertinent qualifications.  Committed to continuing professional development he is a Chartered Manager, a Qualified Teacher (Learning & Skills), and a Fellow of both the Chartered Management Institute  and the Society for Education and Training. He is also a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council.

In his spare time Paul is chair of the North West Board of the Chartered Management Institute.
